New Shows 2020-2021

With the start of a new semester comes the beginning of shows new and old here at WRKE. From freshman to senior, it’s never too late to start a show at WRKE, just ask Joyelle Ronan. She’s a senior communications major with a screen studies concentration, and she hosts “Off the Beaten Tracks”. Her love of all things communications brought her to WRKE where her show features songs you may have forgotten about or have yet to discover. You can tune-in to Off The Beaten Tracks Thursday evenings from 6-7 on WRKE.

Also new to WRKE is James Murphy who is deciding between a communications or criminal justice major. Murphy’s show “Across the Way” allows him to continue his love for audio creations during his collegiate career here at Roanoke College. Tune in to Across The Way Tuesdays 3-4pm on WRKE.

Freshman Communications major Jake Dellinger plans runs his show “Genre Benders” as a place to share his passion for music with listeners over the air and online. As the name suggests, Jake’s show features songs from different genres of music. His knowledge is endless and his album suggestions at the end of each show give you something to think about. Gender Benders is on WRKE Fridays 6-7pm.
