“An Alternative Listen” (Mondays 8-9) is a weekly alternative music show hosted by Freshman Aliya Yellen. The show will play alternative music that everyone’s inner angst ridden teenager will find some solace in. Aliya is a freshman, on the women’s lacrosse team, that is majoring in business with an accounting concentration, and hails from a small suburban town just outside of Chicago called Deerfield.

“Alt 60” (Thursday 5-6) is an alternative and electronic music show, hosted by Anderson Trice and Tyler Muntz. Anderson Trice is a senior business major, and Tyler Muntz is a senior psychology major with a minor in art history.

“B-Side” (Thursdays 8:30-9:30pm) is a weekly show that is hosted by juniors AJ and Cara. They talk about various musical artists and play music ranging from alternative rock to neo-folk to indie. Cara is a communications major with a music minor and AJ is a double major in creative writing and Spanish.

“Back to the Future” (Tuesdays 7-8) is a music show hosted by Amanda Jo Gwaltney. Like the classic film which gives the show its namesake, “Back to the Future” takes you back in time by traveling through the classics of the 20th century. Each show ends with one song from the 21st century, because as Doc once wisely said, “We have to go back!”

“Banana Pancakes” (Saturdays 9-10am) is hosted by freshman Rachel McEldowney and will be talking about aesthetic things and how Saturday Mornings affect people. You can also expect some random topics and hopping music.

“An Hour of Dates” (Fridays 4:30-5:30) is a weekly show where one lucky bachelor or bachelorette will get to know five other contestants in hopes of finding the perfect match for a date. We will then send the new pair off on a date and follow up the next week. Destinee is a sophomore majoring in English, and Kaelyn is a sophomore majoring in Communication.

“The Hip Hop Hour” (Fridays 2:30-3:30) is an all music show mostly filled with Hip-hop and Rap music and is hosted by Jordan Kehoe. Jordan is a junior from Fairfax, Virginia and is majoring in Sports Management and concentrating in Human Resources. “Throwbacks and Roanoke Life” (Thursdays 3-4) jams out to a different genre of throwbacks each week (classic rock, 2000s pop/hip/R&B, etc). Hosted by freshmen Hallie Redding and Anthony Zarlenga, the show will talk about life as a “Maroon” and what its like to be student athletes. Hallie will be playing on the RC Women’s Lacrosse team and Anthony plays for the RC Men’s soccer team.
