Former WRKE host now at national TV network.

Former WRKE student host Jamella Foster has stuck with broadcasting as a career and his now a production assistant at sports network ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut. Before ESPN, Jamella worked as a communications assistant for the NFL Washington Team.“My experience at Roanoke really gave me the footing I needed to launch my career,” she said, noting the weekly WRKE radio show she hosted, and the senior year internship at the local NBC affiliate she secured through Roanoke College’s Office of Career Services. Foster holds a B.A. (2017) in communication studies from Roanoke College and an M.A. in communication studies from Liberty University.
